Have you ever wondered which college will be easier to get into?
Here is how medical schools rank by their difficulty of admission. At the top of the list are medical schools that are the hardest to get admitted to. Our list is exhaustive – almost all medical schools are included.
Methodology:
This is a ranking of medical school, ordered by how difficult it is to be admitted to a school. The ranking is based on two important measures:
(i) The number of applicants for each seat (i.e., the number of applicants per matriculant), and
(ii) The average MCAT score of entering students.
Here are the details:
(i) Using data reported by medical schools, we calculate the number of applicants per matriculant by dividing the number of applications by the number of first year students.
(ii) Using data provided by the AAMC (the MCAT authors), we calculate the ‘rarity’ of the average MCAT score of each school. Specifically, we calculate how many test takers there are for each one receiving the average score of the school or higher. This number is derived from the percentile of the average MCAT score of the school.
The product of the numbers obtained by (i) and (ii) is related to the number of potential students competing for each seat of the medical school. This number is listed in the last column of the table as the “Admission Difficulty”.
A higher admission difficulty means higher competition for each seat at the school, making it more difficult to be admitted. The table is listed in declining difficulty of admission: the school at the top of the table has the most difficult admission and the last school has the easiest admission.

. More information can be ehraetgd by the MCAT webpage (google it). Dont make the mistake I and many other people have. Start off strong and end strong. Medical school admissions is extremely conpetative. Avg gpa acceptances is roughly around a 3.6 and 34 on the MCAT for top medical schools. Dont forget extra stuff, like clinical volunteering. A lot weighs into admissions. good luck.
What’s wrong with it is that it is too general and it mixes up the qanuificatiols of nurses and doctors into a sort of pastiche.Nurses and doctors are not assets to a hospital, they are the heart of the hospital. Assets are things that have fiduciary accountability such as beds, X-ray machines, etc.Separate your two threads of thought here I will put my questions to you in parentheses) you begin by saying nurses and doctors have similar job outlooks (is that true? Doctors have far more responsibilities) and you plan to become a registered nurse specializing in cardiology. Sttistics show that both jobs are in high demand. There are always job openings in the health field (what kind of jobs? The health field includes doctors, nurses, technicians, practical nurses, therapists, etc. This is too broad a statement)Admmision into the nursing program requires you to have a certain grade in particular prerequisites (what grade? what prerequisites?)A big difference between a nurse and a doctor is the time spent with each patient. (That’s very small on the list of differences. The basic difference is that they do different things to and for a patient. The doctor decides on the treatment and it may be left to the nurse to carry out the instructions the doctor gives, but the nurse does not, and can not, initiate treatment, but can only follow the instructions of the doctor. Nurses can not do surgical procedures.Any job where you are helping someone is rewarding (but you can help someone by being a teacher, a policeman, a fireman, or a barber. This is too general and a throw-away line)Therefore a nurse and a doctor are both awesome careers. (a nurse is not a career, nor is a doctor. A nurse is a person whose career is nursing and a doctor is a person whose career is medicine)I’m not trying to shoot you down, I’m trying to help you see that by disentangling the threads of this argument, you can make it much stronger. I would suggest you pick either nursing or medicine as the career you want to discuss and not mix them up into one confusing statement.Hope this helps.
That’s what we’ve all been wiatnig for! Great posting!
You need some clinical vernuteoling whether that is in the hospital, urgent care clinics, nursing homes, etc.. is up to you.Other vernuteoling only helps to boost you application and show that you care. But clinical is way more important.
Often they are at the same school just dienrfeft degree programs.Pre-med is a Bachelor’s degree program which meets the prerequisites for medical school. An issue with this course of study is; if you don’t get into medical school, it has no appluication to any particular job.A nursing degree is available from many types of school, but many students get a BSN which is a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. In this program the first 2 years are very similar to that of the Pre-med student, but the last 2 years are nursing courses. There are also associate degree and diploma programs in nursing, which have less prerequisites, and cover certain subjects dienrfeftly.
You can have all the book training you want but you must have on hands ciinlcal experience, so that’s one reason not to pay to do it on line. You are learning way more than CNA s do right up front. Ask if you can take the certification exam now and get your certification.
I’m going to agree with everyone above. Is nurnsig still in demand? Not the same way it was in demand 7-8 years ago. When I first started nurnsig, you could pretty much walk into any place and expect to get some kind of job.Now it is a lot more competitive. Older nurses had their 401Ks drained when the stock market crashed and can’t afford to retire. Younger nurses are flooding into the field because they hear it is a good career choice. Laid-off workers are also looking to nurnsig after being laid off. Hospitals are having to make cut-backs right and left and they can’t afford to lay off physicians, but the nurnsig staff is expendable. So you kind-of have a perfect storm. But here is what I think The economy is going to pick up again in a few years or so. Then stocks will go up again, the older nurses will be able to retire and some of the nurses supporting their families for their laid-off spouse will be able to go back home again this will create some movement in the field. So while I can’t say that I know of any particular state that has massive openings for RNs, I can say that if your heart is into it, there is a way to make a career out of nurnsig. You just will have to really work hard at it the first few years.
Does your brother have power of anetroty to make decisions for your mom? If not, it’s not up to him to decide where she lives. They won’t admit anyone against their will unless the person isn’t able to make sound decisions due to illness, Alzheimer’s etc. then they need a copy of the legal POA paperwork. The doctor can give his opinion, but legally has no say as to where she should live. A community worker usually comes interviews the person the family members to determine what level of care is needed. Visiting nurses, retirement home, nursing home etc. In my area it’s called community care access center (CCAC) but may be different depending where you live. Call them tell them what you told us here.
